Privacy Policy

1. Scope and current service

This Privacy Policy applies to Witty Arcade's own website pages. It does not govern a third-party game, website, or service, even when that content appears inside an iframe on Witty Arcade.

Witty Arcade is currently a browser-game discovery and access site. At the date shown above, the site does not provide user accounts, payments, subscriptions, public comments, message submission, or an active contact form. The site uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and site usage, but it does not currently have a connected advertising provider. This policy will be updated before those practices materially change.

2. Information processed when you visit

When your browser requests a page or file, the web server, hosting environment, and network infrastructure may automatically receive ordinary technical information such as:

• your IP address and the approximate region associated with it;
• browser, device, and operating-system information;
• the requested URL, referring page, date, and time;
• response status, error details, and security-related events.

This information may be used to deliver the site, maintain reliability, diagnose technical problems, protect the site from misuse, and comply with legal obligations. Witty Arcade does not currently combine this information with an account profile because the site has no accounts.

Witty Arcade uses Google Analytics, identified by measurement ID G-DSXVEENHKX, to measure page views, navigation, referring sources, approximate location, and technical details about browsers and devices. Google may process this information on Witty Arcade's behalf to provide aggregated analytics reports.

3. Third-party games and iframes

Many games available through Witty Arcade are hosted and operated by independent game providers. A game page may load an internal player that, in turn, requests the game from an external domain. When that happens, your browser connects directly to the game provider, which may receive your IP address, browser or device details, limited referral information, and information generated while you use the game.

A provider may use its own cookies or browser storage, collect gameplay diagnostics, display advertising, or offer external links, accounts, chat, or purchases. Those features are controlled by the provider, not by Witty Arcade, and may be governed by separate privacy notices and terms. Review the provider's notices before entering personal or payment information inside a game.

Witty Arcade uses iframe sandboxing and restrictive browser policies to reduce unnecessary permissions. These controls improve separation but cannot prevent every form of data processing performed by an external game within its permitted environment.

4. Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small records stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage. Google Analytics may set or read cookies and similar identifiers to distinguish visits, understand sessions, and reduce duplicate measurement. Witty Arcade does not use these technologies to provide user accounts because the site has no accounts.

Third-party game providers may use cookies or storage within their own context for purposes such as preferences, saved progress, security, diagnostics, analytics, or advertising. Their policies determine the purpose and retention period. You can block or clear these technologies in your browser settings, although doing so may reset game progress or prevent some game features from working.

You can block or clear analytics cookies using your browser settings. You can also use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking analytics may reduce the accuracy of Witty Arcade's aggregate reports but does not prevent you from browsing the site.

5. How information may be shared

Technical information may be processed by hosting, content-delivery, security, or other infrastructure providers only as needed to operate the site. A third-party game provider receives the network information needed to deliver its game when that game is loaded. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users or the site, investigate abuse, or establish or defend legal rights.

Witty Arcade does not currently sell or rent personal information and does not share visitor profiles with an advertising provider. Google receives analytics data as described above to provide the analytics service. Independent game providers are responsible for explaining their own disclosures.

6. Retention and international processing

Witty Arcade does not maintain a user-account or contact-message database. Analytics reports are retained in Google Analytics according to the property's configured retention settings. The duration of operational logs depends on the hosting or network infrastructure settings. Those logs are used only as long as reasonably needed for delivery, security, troubleshooting, or legal compliance.

Google, hosting providers, and third-party game providers may process information in countries outside your own, where privacy protections may differ. Google and independent game providers determine how they process and retain information under their applicable notices and settings.

7. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of personal information, or to object to certain processing. You may also:

• avoid loading a third-party game;
• block or delete cookies and site data through your browser;
• use Google's opt-out browser add-on for Google Analytics;
• use browser controls to limit third-party storage or tracking;
• contact the relevant game provider about data it controls.

Witty Arcade does not currently publish a contact channel for requests concerning site-controlled information. If a contact route is added, this policy will be updated. A request about information processed by an embedded game should normally be directed to that game's provider.

8. Children's privacy

Witty Arcade is a general-audience game site and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. Children who cannot consent under the law where they live should use the site only with permission and supervision from a parent or guardian. They should not enter a real name, contact details, account credentials, or payment information into an embedded game without that adult's approval.

If Witty Arcade learns that it has received personal information from a child in circumstances where parental consent was required, reasonable steps will be taken to delete it.

9. Security

Witty Arcade uses technical safeguards including a content security policy, iframe sandbox restrictions, limited browser permissions, and controlled referral information. No website or transmission method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed. Keep your browser updated and avoid sharing sensitive information with an unfamiliar game provider.

10. External links and policy changes

Games and site pages may link to services Witty Arcade does not own or control. This policy stops applying when you visit those services. Witty Arcade may update this policy when the site, its providers, or legal requirements change. The revised version will appear on this page with a new update date.
